ROMPRE, JEAN JEAN ROMPRE - Cedar and Indian - 2014 $10000.00
2014, Canada, #147. Solid cedar soundboard fan braced with wood and carbon fiber, Indian rosewood back and sides, braceless arched back, 650 mm scale, 51 mm nut width, 18 mm raised fingerboard, Rodgers tuners with black pearl buttons, slight tornavoz shape at sound hole, slightly radiused fingerboard, 20th fret, compensated nut and saddle, 12 hole tieblock, raised V headstock joint, Hiscox case. Exquisite workmanship in very beautiful instrument with an elegant relieved headstock design adorned with Rodgers tuners. The sound is as bold as the appearance, live and responsive. This is one very loud guitar. Huge sounding is not an exaggeration. The tone is on the bright side for cedar, getting close to spruce, so the clarity is precise with full toned fundamentals. Well balanced across the fingerboard, and from one end to the other. Some stray fingernail marks on the soundboard.
