KEIJO KORELIN – Cedar and Madagascar Rosewood Double top – 2011

$8,000.00

Description

2011, Finland.  Western red cedar and Nomex doubletop soundboard, 5 fan braces, Madagascar rosewood back and sides, Alessi tuners with ebony buttons, 650 mm scale, 51 mm nut width, 13 mm raised fingerboard, intonation compensation at nut and saddle, french polished finish, 20th fret, 12 hole tieblock, headstock V joint, fret marker at VII.  Korelin has been very consistent with building great projection into his instruments as we have seen in those coming through our shop.  This powerful guitar has an immediate attack and long sustain.  Separation is excellent with fast arpeggios so all of the notes sound distinct.  The tone is on the bright side of the spectrum for cedar.  This is the real thing, made for the concert hall.  A great instrument for concertos, with the power and timbre to cut through an orchestra.  In excellent condition with some stray signs of use. TKL double arched woodframe case.
